CEU LIVE WEBINAR

QM Training and Management of Behavior Disorders

Accredited by the National Association of Long-Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB)

Led by Limitlessli’s SVP of Clinical Reimbursement, Mary-Beth Newell, this one-hour session is designed for nursing home administrators (LNHAs), directors of nursing, and MDS coordinators who want to strengthen their approach to behavior-related Quality Measures and resident-centered dementia care.

This session examines how Quality Measures for antipsychotic, antianxiety, and hypnotic medication use are triggered, how behavior symptoms affect surveyor review, and how each of these areas connects to the CMS Five-Star Quality Rating. You’ll see how clinical documentation and assessment practices directly influence both compliance standing and resident care outcomes.

Key topics include how to conduct a Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD) assessment, how to identify underlying triggers such as unmet physical needs, medication side effects, environmental factors, and psychosocial concerns, and how to apply evidence-based non-drug interventions like music therapy, touch therapy, aromatherapy, and structured communication approaches. The session also introduces the Life Story framework and sensitivity training tools that help clinical teams connect with residents living with dementia.

The webinar concludes with a Q&A.
